 This
end of semester project option will give you an opportunity to create
a short video ( a minute give or take ) that tells the viewer something positive
about our wonderful high school and the wild life that inhabit its domain.
It will be a tasteful short that will be about a topic that interests you
and could include:
- a shout out to your
friends
- an overview of a fun field trip
- a favourite teacher /
- an event/sport/class/club at the school
- wild life at the eco pond
a better than above idea ?? discuss ideas with teacher
Cameras
We have a
variety of video cams but I recommend SD cams due to ease of handling
- make sure they have a good battery charge
Starting Out

learn a little before starting
- make a plan it
will save alot of time
- consider continuity between scenes and shooting dates
Editing
Nonlinear video
editing can be really simple on a computer.
Don't let the technology format types conversion etc. get in the way of your
creativity.
In rm 23
we can edit in MAC
and PC platforms using simple editors like
- iMovie for MAC
- MovieMaker for PC
Or more advanced editors like
- Final Cut Pro for MAC
- Sony Vegas for PC
So get
started with an idea and let your teacher help you get started with
gear/advice/software technique and such.
Feel free to use your own video camera.
