Ground water pollution is a very
serious problem and one that will continue to grow over time for various
reasons most ....preventable.

SOURCES
Septic tanks
Pesticides
Injection waste sites
Landfill
Lagoon/Pits
Sewars
Underground tanks
Road salt
Septic tanks
release waste water into sand
and clay substrate and soon become part of the flowing aquifer forming a
plume that soon spreads to the well site unless its intake is below an
impermeable clay aquiclude into a lower aquifer
Chemicals
should never be poured into the septic stream.
Wells near rivers and lakes
must be concerned about the contaminants these waters carry as the draw of
water from the well may eventually pull water from the river or lake.
