Create a Sound Board 

In this challenge you will create a sound board. Your sound board could be used to create a collage of your favorite band(s), a humorous prank telephone comment generator, bird call identifier, a collection of your friends and their favourite sayings or some other useful and interesting design.
This project will require skills that you have already mastered and new skills you will soon learn. The numerous assets that you will create should be effectively named to avoid confusion. Organization will be a key attribute of the successful multimedia producer!
This project can really lend itself to team work ...... break down the tasks according to the talent pool of the group banish anyone from your island that fails to attend classes, come on time or generally not pull their weight on the project. The tribe wants no slackers in school or at work!


You will use the following software tools :  

Photoshop
-  to render button images.

Flash
-  to create interactive movie buttons that have rollover effects and play music on down click or rollover.

SoundForge
or WavePad-  to extract and edit (filter, effects) short sound clips

DreamWeaver
- create tables for assembling the sound board assets

HOW TO GET STARTED click item for details

1 imagine a theme for your sound board >>>> music, strange sounds, cartoon character, etc...

2 - in DreamWeaver set up a table with three 200 pixel cells on the width and height (similar to above, that's a 600 x 600 pixel table ) or use your imagination and surprise us all!

3 - generate your audio (Forge or WavePad) and visual assets ( a short audio clips and 2 images for each cell)

4 - in Flash set up the stage to 200 x 200 pixels (or what ever you have chosen) to create your Flash Buttons >>>(one for each cell)

5 - find or extract audio clips>>>  and trim to size (2 - 8 seconds long)

6 - use your own voice or that of a chosen narrator to state the theme of your soundboard and enter it into one of the cells as a Flash button
 

- once you make a preproduction plan and create a layout and install your first button your production should move along quite smoothly
