Life can be viewed as a sequence of biochemical reactions ........ perception ....  just a chemical response to stimuli, .....metabolism a method of coupling released chemical energy of one reaction to another and so on. This may not seem as glamorous to many as the study of their favorite wildlife, but the next time you require a medication, smell a rose (or a skunk) remember they are also biochemical's and there is a beauty in their structure and interaction.

Life interacts with a variety of organic molecules and we are just at the dawn of appreciating some of their nasty ecological effects.

Here is a list of interesting websites to support our studies in biochemistry. First lets look at some interesting molecules.
