In this lab you will create computer generated images of various biochemicals and give short descriptions as called for.

1) Open the following software tools .........
A) WORD then go to "I" Drive and open biochem doc (a WORD doc)
B) INTERNET WEB EXPLORER
C) HYPERCHEM   look for the Green Beaker Icon click to boot
D) PHOTOSHOP

2) Create your molecules in HyperChem, in sticks....then render in spheres, make them small and then EDIT copy image and go to PhotoShop and FILE>From Clipboard to paste image into PhotoShop
3) Crop your molecule (remove extra black area) (crop tool) so that molecule appears on a square background

4) Click Image > Resize> make height 2 inches (the width should adjust accordingly)

5) File > >Save for web > to your "G" drive

6) go to Word doc and  in the correct cell Insert image from file "G" drive and the molecule should appear in the table

7) use your notes and the Internet to research the required information

8) set your printer for room 23 Lexmark and then print out your work
or use your colour printer, or use our class colour printer
 

9) go to room 110 pick up work enter names of group and then submit
