Colour Theory
Digital colours are coded so that the
computer may interpret and place the desired Hue at the correct Saturation at the
correct Pixel location. RGB system uses the numbers 0-255 to determine saturation
and hue. Hexadecimal uses another system (older from teletype days) combining
letters A>F and numbers 1-9.
By entering a value into the above table for
RGB ( 0-255) or
HEX values ( letters
A-F ) or (# 1-9)
you can learn how these values code for HUE (colour) and SATURATION
(brightness of the hue) as shown in the background !!
