The online electronic online portfolio is your final evaluation which in many other courses would be a pencil and paper exam.
As a senior student this portfolio may also be of use for job application or application to a post secondary institute. It should become a component of your resume.

Your portfolios can be constructed using HTML or FrontPage (or both as is usually the case) and posted on a server such as Bravehost or your own URL.

Tables should be used along with your own web components such as banners, digital photographs custom backgrounds, Gif animations Flash, interactive components etc.
In other words use the skill that you have developed to produce a graduate level web based portfolio .

You might also want to include work from previous years or even your own personal digital creations.
You are incouraged to include digital or digitized works from other courses or that you have done for fun or other reasons.

You will save your portfolio files to your JumpDrive for safe keeping as well as the G drive at school just in case one system fails. Don't keep your eggs in one basket!

They are due the week before exams start!

Your portfolio will include the following:

  • an attractive personalized home page that contains a navigation system to your files, your own picture, a brief personal/academic bio stating school focus, future career goals etc.

  • your home page will also feature a piece of your own digital creation

  • your course developed projects that are stored on the local server will be uploaded to the web server of your choice (BraveHost) and linked from your home page

  • each project will have a brief (point form) summary that states the purpose of the project + what you learned (including technique, software, design principles. ethics etc.)

  • navigation from one related page to another should be easy

  • suitable page backgrounds will compliment your page designs

  • your use of the principles of design and the design process will be evident throughout

as a senior student it will be expected that you will demonstrate
your advanced graphical abilities in the use of image rendering,
    digital photography,
