ComTech 12 Research Project technological know how

In this exercise you will work to compile an online website of information of use to ComTech students at the grade 12 level ready for college or university.

If you want to work as a group 2 topics will be chosen by each team.

Completed topics will then be assembled into an online directory that pointing from our main ComTech webpage

This project will be done in DreamWeaver in table with at least one instance of interactivity that will be created in Fireworks.

Each topic will be written in the technical writing style which is characterized as follows:

Title Page : name, teacher name, date, title, image.

Title> Announces your topic clearly
Introduction> Outlines what your topic is about (short)
Body > Describes your topic fully in words and images 400 +/- 50 words
Summary> a brief synopsis of the important details at the end of the report

a) factual ....... opinions and emotions are limited
b) economy of description...... fewer words are better
c) use of properly positioned images ...... all images are referred to ( as seen in fig. 1 )
all images have a title ( fig. 1 Gutenberg's first press)
d) references are listed at the end of the topic
text> author, title, date, publisher
online> URL (as clickable insert)

Summary > summarize the most important points of your topic. This should be kept short with emphasis on the important and perhaps difficult points. The summary should not be "lifted" from an earlier part of your text.

References > (at very end) your references should link to the URLs that you visited to research your topic as well as any sites of interest that you have found. As we are in the digital realm they should be clickable when online.

make sure to have 4 references
"the difference between research and plagiarism is that the researcher provides references"

don't lose that 15% again because you did not include 4 references

Be sure to TEST your final product online to make sure that it worksand all content is visible.
Do all link work?
Are all pictures viewable?
Is spelling /grammar OK?
