Welcome to 12ubio! This university prep course is all about modern trends in biology. We will start with the origins of the universe and Earth's place in it. Then we'll examine biochemical basis of life and the energy systems of photosynthesis and respiration. Population dynamics, evolution, molecular genetics and aspects of mammalian homeostasis will round out the course.
Connections will be developed between course content personal and planetary wellness.
Students preparing for the sciences and the arts will be prepared for the interpreting the many biological phenomena that will shape this new Canadian century.

Welcome back to the 2004 - 2005 school year. I trust you had a pleasant summer in many ways.
There has never been a more exciting time to study biology the news is full of science breakthroughs in many fields of biology and brimming with biological stories that are rocking our world.
