Downloading images from the Internet

Capturing images from the Internet > search on the Internet for websites that you think might contain graphics (images, pictures, as GIFs JPEGs PNGs etc.) of topics that you might find useful in your project. For example if you want a picture of a musician then search for that musician.
 

After you find an image follow the steps below to retrieve and then save your images.

> Right click on the image
> Copy

> Pull up your project (Word, Corel, Publisher, etc.)
> Locate the cursor roughly where you want the graphic        

> Right click
> Paste

> Right click on the image again and remove hyperlink
> Click Format Picture and in Layout and then choose relationship with text  

> Advanced,  remove – “move object  with text”
> size graphic and drag to the proper location

Searching the net for graphics Exchange sites

Ø     Go to www.Google.com    www.altavista.com    www.corbis.com or any of the many other search engines and search sites for images ( see tulbx on main page )

Do a search for new graphics web sites preferably free  Key Words……. clipart ,GIFS, web graphics, etc.

If you are building a web page remember to save your images to a folder on your websites server in a folder called ... images.

 

Remember never to use images on copyrighted websites without the webmasters permission.
