In this Project you will create your own interactive page that will have:

> image swapping

> drop down menu attributes

> and an iFrame

> images will swap in a viewer of some sort (phone / tv/ tablet/screen - mirror - x-ray screen - instrument

panel thought bubble OR something from your imagination

You will use PhotoShop, FireWorks and DreamWeaver for this production and post to the Internet and link from your homepage.

Expectations:

A preproduction sketch must be produced and submitted for evaluation prior to commencing the production phase. Keep proposals simple and brief.

Class will discuss layout details and expectations in class prior to preproduction.

Use the Tutorial guide to help you create a similar interactive page using Fireworks,  DreamWeaver and PhotoShop.

Your project will have dominant theme that is informative / entertaining / humourous

Design in the following attributes:


A > 1 Title (title your image in Photoshop before slicing)
- write team members name(s) in lower right

B > min 5 HotSpot locations that SWAP to your swapped images
HAVE a graphical way of indicating where your HotSpots are ( symbol , a coloured dot, desaturation etc. ) so that viewers will know where to place the mouse the mouse.

C > 5 or more images that are identified with the HotSpots (ie product features, parts, locations etc)
 

D > 5 or more pop up menus
- each will provide
the location title and hyper link to 2 relevant
sites
ie: 10 or more links
 

caution : make a real plan for creating slices and minimize the number of slices

- keep files organized and there should be no problems ( create a master folder titled Interactive)

- remember that you will also create a couple of extra helper files when you generate the HTML and slices (spacer.gif  and mmenu.js etc) they must also be uploaded

- make sure that hotspots and pop up menues do not overlap image swap spaces

- pop up menues should be colour matched and positioned

- image swaps should be sized for aspect ratio and colour matching

SUBMIT A PENCIL AND PAPER SKETCH OF YOUR PREPRODUCTION IDEAS BEFORE STARTING PRODUCTION ( teacher will consult on the project informally before you begin)
